WOW Embossing Ethereal Meadows Release BLOG Hop + Giveaway!

 

I’m so excited to be joining WOW! Embossing Powder today to celebrate the release of their brand-new designer collection: Ethereal Meadows, created by the incredible Brennan Keane!

This 4-piece embossing powder release is inspired by the soft, "quiet awakening" of the natural world—capturing the hazy glow of a spring morning and the delicate textures of a meadow in bloom. Whether you’re a mixed media artist, a cardmaker, or just love a touch of ethereal shine, this collection is a total dream to work with. To be honest, the way these powders catch the light is something you really have to see in action!

Today, I’m sharing a project using Wisteria Wonder & Buttercup Blossom from the collection. I hope it inspires you to get creative with these magical new powders!

🌟Project Details

For my card, I created a soft floral design featuring the stunning Wisteria Wonder embossing powder. One of my favourite things about this powder is its slightly translucent quality, which allows it to take on different looks depending on the cardstock beneath. Here, I’ve used it over a deep navy background to really make those shimmering, dimensional details pop, while also incorporating it on the florals for a softer, more delicate finish.

To add contrast and a lovely focal point, I used Buttercup Blossom for the centres of the flowers. The warm yellow tones bring a beautiful brightness to the design and perfectly complement the cool, iridescent hues of the wisteria.

I also played with different techniques - using the powder directly onto cardstock as well as over textured areas - to highlight just how versatile a single embossing powder can be. It’s amazing how many unique effects you can achieve with just one colour!

 Brighten someone’s day with this cheerful Double Panel Pop-Up Gatefold Card featuring sunny sunflower papers from Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine. Complete with a matching belly band, this fun-fold card is perfect for birthdays and other special occasions. Watch the full step-by-step tutorial to see exactly how it’s made.

 For Day 5 of the #FlowerCraftFest, I’ve created a vibrant Double Panel Pop-Up Gatefold Card that’s sure to make the recipient smile! I’ve used the gorgeous sunflower paper collection from Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine, pairing bold floral patterns with gold accents for an elegant finish. The card features a clever pop-up mechanism hidden inside a gatefold design, giving it both surprise and dimension. A coordinating belly band keeps everything neatly closed and adds an extra decorative touch. This style works beautifully for birthdays, but it can easily be adapted for other occasions simply by switching up the papers and sentiment. You can follow along with my full video tutorial where I guide you through each step—covering everything from scoring and folding to layering and embellishing. It’s easier than it looks, and the results are stunning!

 

 

 

#FlowerCraftFest - Day 3 - Floral Box

 A charming floral gift box with a wraparound sleeve – perfect for adding a handmade touch to any special occasion.

This beautiful floral gift box is designed with a wraparound sleeve that adds both elegance and functionality. Ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, or just-because surprises, it’s a wonderful way to present small gifts or handmade treats. The floral design brings a fresh, cheerful feel, while the sleeve keeps everything secure and stylish. You don’t need advanced tools or techniques to make this – just a love for papercrafting and a few simple supplies. The result is a thoughtful, reusable box that will make any recipient feel extra special.

#FlowerCraftFest - Day 1 - Floral frame

Day 1 of the #FlowerCraftFest!

 A bold and blooming birthday card featuring dimensional flowers and a decorative frame — created in response to the “frame/border” prompt.

 

 

Kicking off Day 1 of the #FlowerCraftFest with this vibrant floral birthday card! Inspired by the “frame/border” prompt, I crafted a layered design full of hand-built dimensional flowers, shimmering die-cut leaves, and a shaped border to frame the sentiment. A celebration of colour, sparkle, and all things floral!

Showstopper NEW BABY card

Welcoming a new baby is always a special occasion, and this handmade showstopper card is the perfect way to mark the moment. Whether it’s a bouncing baby boy or a beautiful baby girl, this unique fun-fold card celebrates both in one joyful design!

 

 

 Using charming digital clipart and coordinated papers, I created a double-panel card - one side in soft pinks with a tutu-wearing teddy, baby shoes and cupcakes, and the other in cool blues with balloons, gifts, and playful toys. The panels are joined with a sweet centrepiece that reads “Welcome to our Family,” making it a truly heartwarming piece. This card was so fun to put together using digital elements—perfect for when you want maximum cuteness and flexibility in your designs! The layered details, holographic stars, and picket fence embellishments bring depth and whimsy to the whole look.
